📌 Key Concepts – Ratio & Proportion
- Ratio: Do cheezon ka numerical comparison fixed order me. Example: Chawal aur chicken = 2:1
- Proportion: Jab do ratios equal ho aur unknown quantity find karni ho. Example: 3/4 = 6/x → cross multiplication se x find karein
- Ratios me sirf numbers ka relation hota hai, koi judgement ya emotion nahi.
- Proportion solve karne ke liye: cross multiplication + opposite side rule apply karein.
- Positive aur negative numbers ka opposite side concept apply karna important hai.
🧮 Examples & Step-by-Step
- Total students = 25, boys:girls = 3:2 → Total parts = 5 → Boys = 3*5=15, Girls = 2*5=10
- Ratio 5:2 = x:8 → 2x = 40 → x = 20
- Proportion: 3/4 = 6/x → 3x = 24 → x = 8
- Daily life example: Petrol usage 100 km : 4 liter → ratio 100:4 → proportionally increase for 200 km → 8 liter
- Cross multiplication steps: numerator & denominator opposite side shift, multiply/divide accordingly.
- Complex problems broken into smaller parts, use same logic step-by-step.
