CRQ 01 · Philosophical Foundation

This is the Psychological Foundation of curriculum. It focuses heavily on how learners grow, think, learn, and develop across various life stages. The scenario is built entirely around society and community — cultural traditions, unemployment, the local job market. A group of policy makers studies how the national curriculum has changed over the past 50 years — which reforms succeeded and which failed — before proposing any new changes.

This is the Historical Foundation of curriculum. It examines past educational practices, previous curriculum experiences, and historical trends over decades. It helps educators and policy makers understand how current educational systems and curriculum structures evolved over time, allowing them to learn from past successes and avoid repeating previous reform failures.
The giveaway is the explicit look-back "over the past 50 years" and evaluating past reforms as successes/failures. Whenever a scenario studies how education looked before and how it changed over time — purely to inform present decisions — that is the Historical Foundation.
CRQ 05 · Subject-Centered Curriculum Design

CRQ 06 · Learner-Centered (Child-Centered) Curriculum Design

This is Learner-Centered (Child-Centered) Curriculum Design — it revolves around the needs, personal interests, lived experiences, developmental abilities, and active curiosity of students. CRQ 08 · Core Curriculum Design

Regardless of which specialization or academic track a student chooses, every student at the school must complete the same set of foundational courses in language, civics, and basic science before graduating.

This is Core Curriculum Design — a set of common, essential learning experiences, foundational subjects, or core skills strictly mandated for all students. This ensures that every student receives a shared foundational education and common civic competencies regardless of their individual specialization or academic track.
